Quality experiences across New Zealand’s southern islands
Originally founded in 1954 by tourism and conservation pioneers Sir Les and Olive Hutchins, ‘Wayfare’ is the new name for the well-established Real Journeys group of companies that is still privately owned by the family.
The name Wayfare, which means to travel or the act of journeying, was chosen because of its historical association and link to Real Journeys, and also because it identifies with New Zealand as a nation of wayfarers and travellers.
Based in the stunning South Island of New Zealand, Wayfare comprises five leading tourism brands: Cardrona Alpine Resort, Treble Cone, Go Orange, the International Antarctic Centre, and of course Real Journeys where it all started over sixty years ago.
